About the role
The Payroll Officer Specialist will play a vital role in supporting the payroll services for a large and complex workforce. This position involves end-to-end payroll processing, compliance, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring the efficient operation of payroll functions within the organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Triage payroll cases and enquiries
- Perform payroll data entry and maintenance
- Provide payroll helpdesk support
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing
- Administer leave, deductions, superannuation, and salary
- Ensure payroll compliance and conduct audits
- Interpret awards and enterprise agreements
- Contribute to payroll projects and process improvements
- Support User Acceptance Testing and SuccessFactors initiatives
Skills & experience
- Proven experience in payroll administration or payroll officer roles
- Strong capability in end-to-end payroll processing, particularly with SAP or PayGlobal
- Demonstrated ability to interpret legislation and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work in high-volume environments
