Policy Analyst - Tertiary Investment System Policy

Join a central government policy team working at the intersection of social and economic policy, shaping how funding supports users, skills development, and long-term economic outcomes. This role sits in a collaborative, analytically focused team and is well suited to an experienced Senior Policy analyst (at least 2 years as a Senior) who enjoys working with numbers, complex policy questions, and diverse stakeholders across government and the sector.
You’ll contribute to system-level investment and funding policy, support Cabinet and budget processes, and help develop advice that balances fiscal discipline with real-world education outcomes. The environment values curiosity, sound judgement, and strong relationship management over narrow subject-matter expertise.
