About the role
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Practice Manager to step into a pivotal role, driving operational excellence and leading the optimisation of a newly implemented practice management system. You will take ownership of all non-legal operations across the firm, ensuring operations, technology, and processes are running efficiently while supporting the delivery of high-quality legal services. This role is heavily focused on technology, systems, and operational improvement, making it ideal for someone who enjoys driving change and enhancing the way a business operates.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the ongoing implementation and optimisation of the practice management and document management systems
- Oversee all IT, systems, and technology across the firm, including vendor and MSP relationships
- Manage day-to-day office operations and facilities management
- Train and support staff to ensure strong adoption and effective use of systems
- Drive process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce administrative burden
- Oversee compliance, risk management, and firm-wide policies
- Provide reporting and insights to support strategic decision-making
- Manage and coordinate non-legal staff and external providers
Skills & experience
- Proven experience as a Practice Manager or in a similar operational leadership role within a law firm
- Strong exposure to practice management and document management systems
- Experience leading system implementations or major operational projects
- Confident managing IT, systems, and external providers
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and support stakeholders at all levels
- Highly adaptable, tech-savvy, and solutions-focused
