Practice Manager Part Time

An established boutique law firm located on Sydney’s North Shore is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to join its team on a part time basis. This is a pivotal role supporting the smooth day to day operation of a close knit and professional practice with a strong reputation in the market.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Principals, you will take ownership of the operational and administrative functions of the practice, ensuring efficiency, compliance and a positive working environment.

Overseeing day to day practice operations and workflows
Managing trust accounting and liaising with external accountants
Supervising and managing administrative and support staff
Handling HR functions including onboarding, policies and performance support
Managing billing processes, WIP and debtors
Preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports for the Principals
Monitoring cash flow, budgets and forecasts to support informed decision making
Liaising with external accountants, auditors and banks
Coordinating IT systems, practice management software and external suppliers
Ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional obligations

About You

You will be an experienced Practice Manager with a strong understanding of the legal environment.

You will bring

Proven experience in practice management within a law firm
Sound knowledge of trust accounting and financial reporting skills
Strong organisational and leadership skills
Confidence working closely with Principals and senior lawyers
Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach
