Private Funds Associate (4+ PQE) - International Law Firm - London

A leading international law firm is looking to hire an experienced Private Funds Associate (4+ PQE) to join its London Asset Management & Investment Funds team.

This role sits within a well-established global funds practice advising fund sponsors across private equity, venture capital, credit and real estate strategies. The team advises a diverse client base ranging from emerging managers launching their first funds to institutional sponsors raising multi-billion dollar vehicles.

The successful candidate will work closely with a well-regarded Partner advising mid-market private equity sponsors, with particular involvement in fund structuring, fund formation, and LP negotiations. There will also be opportunities to collaborate with the wider private equity transactional practice, particularly on matters involving independent sponsors and sponsor-led structures.

Key Responsibilities:

Advising fund sponsors on the structuring and formation of private investment funds
Drafting and negotiating fund documentation and investor agreements
Advising on fund governance, regulatory considerations and lifecycle matters
Working closely with private equity partners on sponsor-related transactions

Candidate Requirements:

4+ PQE with strong private funds experience from a leading City or US firm
Excellent drafting and analytical skills
Strong academic background
Ability to manage client relationships and work collaboratively within a team
Commercial awareness and strong organisational skills
