Procurement Coordinator | Infrastructure
Redfern | $457.06 per day + super | Temp to Perm | ASAP Start
An opportunity has become available for an experienced Procurement Coordinator to join a major infrastructure delivery organisation working across one of Sydney’s largest essential infrastructure programs. This is a hands-on procurement role supporting a busy project environment, with a strong focus on end-to-end tendering, subcontractor procurement, onboarding, compliance and governance. Working closely with a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will be given ownership of procurement activities and expected to manage them proactively through the various stages of the process. The Role
- Your responsibilities will include: Coordinating end-to-end procurement and tender activities
- Reviewing tender documentation and ensuring procurement processes are progressing through the correct stages
- Supporting tender evaluations, approvals and award recommendations
- Coordinating subcontractor and supplier onboarding
- Managing subcontractor compliance, prequalification and supporting documentation
- Ensuring permits, financial information and required documentation are completed before approval
- Maintaining accurate procurement records, registers and supporting documentation
- Supporting procurement governance and compliance requirements
- Working across multiple internal systems, procurement platforms and spreadsheets
- Identifying issues or discrepancies and escalating them where required
- Building effective relationships with subcontractors, engineers and internal project stakeholders
- Supporting a fast-paced procurement function across multiple projects
About you
We are looking for someone who can take ownership of their workload and operate with a high level of autonomy. You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in procurement, preferably within infrastructure, construction, utilities, engineering or another project-based environment
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end tender and procurement process
- Experience working with suppliers and/or subcontractors
- Exposure to supplier onboarding, prequalification, compliance and governance
- Confidence reviewing tender and procurement documentation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work within structured processes
- Strong Excel skills and confidence learning and working across multiple systems
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
- A proactive, self-starting approach and willingness to take ownership of work
Candidates from larger organisations with established procurement and compliance processes will be particularly well suited.
