The Firm
A long-established boutique law firm based in Sydney’s Inner West, this practice supports a loyal client base of SMEs, family-owned businesses, and private clients across property, commercial, and estate matters. The culture is professional yet family-oriented, with an emphasis on trust, collaboration, and long-term client relationships rather than billable targets. The firm seeks a senior, stable lawyer who can manage matters autonomously and is interested in a long-term permanent position within a close-knit team.
The Role
This is a broad, hands-on position combining commercial and property work. The successful candidate will manage a variety of transactional matters including:
- Sale and purchase of businesses
- Commercial and retail leasing
- Residential and commercial conveyancing
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements
- Advising clients on planning, development, and general commercial matters
You will work directly with clients, manage files end-to-end, and collaborate with supportive colleagues in a collegiate, client-focused environment.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a confident, pragmatic lawyer with strong technical skills and a down-to-earth approach. Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years’ PAE in Property and/or Commercial Law
- NSW practising certificate
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and client relationship skills
- Proven ability to work independently and manage files autonomously
- Stability and interest in a long-term position
- Experience with LEAP and PEXA
- Background in advising SMEs and private clients
- Exposure to planning or development matters
