The Role
- Senior property role within a resolutions, recoveries and disputes practice
- Leading and overseeing a national mortgagee sales practice
- Managing residential and commercial property mortgagee sale matters end to end
- Supervising, mentoring and developing a team of paralegals and conveyancers
- Allocating work, managing capacity and overseeing quality and performance outcomes
- Acting as an escalation point for complex or high risk matters
- Ensuring compliance with legislation, court rules, lender requirements and internal protocols
- Identifying and managing legal, commercial and reputational risk
- Driving process improvement, efficiency and scalability across the practice
- Leading the strategic growth and development of the mortgagee sales offering
- Building and strengthening relationships with lender clients and stakeholders
- Providing clear, timely and commercially focused advice in time sensitive matters
- Part time applications considered for a minimum of four days per week
The Candidate
- Admitted legal practitioner with 6+ years post admission experience
- Strong background in residential and commercial property sales
- Experience with mortgagee sales highly regarded
- Sound understanding of tax treatment and transactional complexities
- Commercially minded with the ability to balance legal risk and client objectives
- Confident communicator with a practical, solutions focused approach
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage high volume, deadline driven work
- Experience supervising or mentoring staff desirable but not essential
