Are you a confident sales professional who thrives on the retail floor and enjoys helping customers make informed purchasing decisions? We are seeking an experienced Retail Sales Consultant to join a leading bedding retailer in an ongoing temporary capacity.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys face-to-face customer interaction, is motivated by achieving sales targets, and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service. We are seeking candidates who can commit to a consistent Thursday to Monday roster, working up to 24 hours per week.
About the Role
As a Retail Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for creating a positive shopping experience for customers while driving sales performance. Working within a busy retail environment, you will engage with customers to understand their needs, provide expert product recommendations, and guide them through the purchasing journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing exceptional customer service and building rapport with customers
- Identifying customer needs and recommending suitable bedding and sleep solutions
- Achieving individual and team sales targets
- Processing sales transactions through POS systems
- Maintaining attractive product displays and showroom presentation
- Assisting with stock replenishment and inventory tasks
- Supporting promotional campaigns and in-store sales initiatives
- Ensuring a professional and welcoming store environment at all times
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess strong retail sales experience and enjoy working in a customer-focused environment.
Key Requirements
- Proven success in a retail sales role with demonstrated experience meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong on-floor sales ability and confidence approaching and engaging customers
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A consultative sales approach with the ability to identify customer needs
- Experience working with POS systems and retail technology
- Strong presentation and professional manner
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Previous experience within furniture, bedding, homewares, electrical, or other big-ticket retail sales environments will be highly regarded
