About the role

This newly created position offers the opportunity to establish and grow the organisation's presence in Western Australia. The successful candidate will develop new business opportunities and support operational activities as the regional footprint expands, providing significant autonomy and the potential for broader national responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

Develop and execute a strategy to establish and grow the business in Western Australia
Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within international freight forwarding
Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular engagement and site visits
Manage client accounts and ensure high levels of service delivery
Support and oversee operational aspects of freight forwarding as business grows
Collaborate closely with the Sydney head office and wider national team
Contribute to long-term growth plans and market expansion initiatives

Skills & experience

Proven experience in international freight forwarding, ideally including project cargo
Demonstrated ability to generate new business and grow client accounts
Strong understanding of both commercial and operational aspects of the industry
Ability to work autonomously and build a market presence from scratch
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability
