We are currently partnering with a well-established and prestigious accounting firm in Brisbane CBD, seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their Business Services team.

The Role
You will work closely with Managers and Partners across a diverse client base, taking ownership of client relationships while supporting and mentoring junior team members.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals
- Managing a portfolio of clients across a range of industries
- Reviewing work prepared by junior staff and providing guidance and support
- Liaising directly with clients, the ATO, and other stakeholders
- Assisting with tax planning and advisory work
- Preparing BAS, FBT returns, and other compliance requirements
- Supporting process improvements and contributing to team development
- 3–5+ years’ experience within Australian public practice (Business Services / Tax)
- CA/CPA qualified or nearing completion
- Strong technical knowledge across tax and compliance
- Experience reviewing junior work or mentoring staff
- Confident communicator with the ability to manage client relationships
- Proficient in Xero, MYOB, APS, or similar systems
