The Role
  • Senior Associate role within a national financial services regulatory team
  • Advising clients across banking, non-bank lending, payments and fintech sectors
  • Working on non-contentious regulatory matters in a complex and evolving environment
  • Providing advice on financial crime, consumer credit, prudential regulation and digital assets
  • Supporting clients navigating significant regulatory reforms and compliance obligations
  • Working across multidisciplinary matters with national and international teams
  • Direct engagement with high profile clients and key stakeholders
  • Involvement in business development and contributing to practice growth
  • Mentoring and developing junior lawyers within the team
  • Working closely with leading partners recognised in the fintech and FSR space
The Candidate
  • Admitted lawyer with Senior Associate level experience in financial services regulatory
  • Background in private practice, in-house or a relevant regulatory body
  • Experience across one or more of the following: payments, financial crime, consumer credit, banking, prudential regulation or digital assets
  • Strong technical capability in non-contentious regulatory advisory work
  • Excellent academic record and current Australian or New Zealand practising certificate
  • Commercially aware with the ability to provide clear and practical advice
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management capability
  • Able to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Interest in fintech, innovation and emerging technologies including AI
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and support junior team members
