Senior ICT Procurement Specialist

• $800 – 825 per day plus super
• 6 month contract
• Hybrid – Sydney CBD Location

Are you an experienced Senior ICT Procurement Specialist ready to support a major cyber uplift program within a NSW Government agency. This is not your typical procurement role, it’s highly specialised, ICT-focused, and plays a key role in managing complex end-to-end tendering activity under the NSW ICT Scheme.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll take pressure off the internal team by managing templates, generating documents, and ensuring compliance while developing government frameworks and policies. Your key responsibilities will be:

• Developing, reviewing, and refining complex ICT procurement strategies, RFx documents, evaluation plans, and making recommendations to ensure quality, clarity, and compliance with government procurement policies.
• Identifying and assessing procurement and contract risks, recommending mitigation strategies that align with agency governance and legislative requirements.
• Managing the full tender lifecycle, including issuing RFx documents, coordinating communications between vendors and internal stakeholders, and ensuring all deadlines and protocols are met.
• Overseeing and actively participating in tender evaluation panels, ensuring all processes meet probity standards, value-for-money assessments are effectively conducted, procurement risks are identified and managed, and final recommendations align with procurement policies.

To successfully secure this role, you’ll ideally have proven experience in NSW Government procurement and expertise in policy framework development. You’ll have exceptional policy writing skills and a strong track record in identifying and managing procurement risks.
