Senior Lawyer - 12 month FTC
An established organisation is seeking Lawyers to join its Legal and Investigations team on a 12-month fixed term contract. Multiple opportunities are available, and candidates currently completing their Restricted Practice (RP) will also be considered.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex matters involving investigations, compliance and dispute resolution within a collaborative and professional environment.
The Role
You will work as part of a specialist legal team responsible for managing a range of matters from initial assessment through to resolution. The role involves analysing information, preparing legal documentation and supporting proceedings where required.
You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders and assist in progressing matters to achieve appropriate outcomes.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Conducting investigations and reviewing complex matters
- Analysing evidence and preparing reports and recommendations
- Drafting legal documentation and correspondence
- Assisting with litigation or tribunal matters where required
- Liaising with stakeholders including professionals, organisations and members of the public
- Conducting interviews and gathering relevant information
- Supporting dispute resolution processes where appropriate
- Providing legal advice to internal stakeholders
- Managing multiple matters and progressing them to resolution
About You
Applications are welcomed from lawyers with experience in litigation, investigations, regulatory, compliance or dispute resolution environments.
You will ideally demonstrate:
- A law degree and admission or eligibility for admission to practise in Australia
- Strong legal drafting and written communication skills
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving abilities
- The ability to manage multiple matters and work to deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- A collaborative and team-focused approach
