Senior Service Development Manager

  • Opportunity for hybrid working - normally 2 days per week.

Our client is a large, nationally significant organisation responsible for shaping and improving services across complex public systems. Working in partnership with sector leaders, providers and communities, the organisation focuses on delivering better outcomes and more equitable access to services.

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to step into a fast-paced environment where you will influence how services are designed, funded and delivered. Working within a small senior team, you will partner with providers, clinicians and sector stakeholders to develop new service models, negotiate agreements and drive service improvements. You’ll contribute to investment planning, service redesign and implementation of initiatives that improve access, quality and outcomes across the system.

You bring strong strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement skills and the confidence to operate in complex environments.
You are comfortable picking up portfolios quickly, leading initiatives and working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to deliver practical outcomes.

  • Experience in service design, commissioning, funding or investment initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
  • Experience developing business cases, funding proposals or strategic initiatives
  • Ability to navigate complex or regulated environments
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Understanding of equity-focused service delivery approaches
