About the role

An opportunity is available for a Commercial Solicitor to join an established Perth law firm on a permanent, full-time basis. Suited to a lawyer with 3+ years’ PAE, the role offers a varied mix of corporate and commercial advisory work and commercial transactions. You will need to be comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy and independently managing your own files.

Key responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, terms and conditions, and commercial agreements
• Advising on banking and finance matters
• Assisting with corporate structuring, trusts and business reorganisations
• Advising on joint ventures and shareholder arrangements
• Handling property-related transactions and commercial leasing matters
• Providing timely, practical legal advice to clients and stakeholders
• Independently managing files across a broad range of commercial matters
• Building client relationships and contributing to business development activities

About you

• At least 3 years’ post-admission experience
• Experience in corporate and commercial advisory work and transactions
• Ability to work autonomously, manage your own caseload and progress matters with minimal supervision
• Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills
• A practical, strategic approach to solving legal problems
• A collaborative attitude and commitment to delivering quality client service
• An interest in building your professional profile and developing client relationships
