About the role
This position offers an opportunity to lead audit engagements in a well-regarded Top 30 firm. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalising audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while managing a diverse portfolio of clients.
Key responsibilities
- Lead audit engagements, ensuring adherence to firm and regulatory standards
- Liaise directly with clients, presenting findings and providing actionable insights
- Identify key risks and assess internal controls to ensure compliance with Australian Auditing Standards
- Manage and mentor junior auditors, ensuring high-quality deliverables
- Stay updated with evolving accounting and auditing standards
- Assist with budgeting, billing, and enhancing audit efficiency
- Travel to client sites as required
Skills & experience
- Proven experience in external audit with a minimum of 4 years in Australia or a similar jurisdiction
- Strong capability in client communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple engagements
- Technical proficiency in auditing software and financial reporting frameworks
- Qualifications: CA/CPA qualified and a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
