Due to ongoing growth, we’re seeking a capable Warehouse Officer to join a well established business in Oakleigh, with a clear temp‑to‑perm pathway and long‑term stability.
This role suits someone hands‑on who enjoys being on the floor, supporting a small team and taking ownership of daily warehouse operations.
About the Company
Our client is a respected Australian organisation operating in the commercial and appliance sector, known for quality products, strong customer relationships and a team focused culture. They pride themselves on safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement across their warehouse operations.
The Role Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you’ll play a key role in the day to day running of the warehouse while supporting and coordinating team members on the floor.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating a grab forklift to safely move, store and stage products
- Receiving, checking and putting away incoming stock
- Picking, preparing and dispatching orders in line with service levels
- Creating picking lists, consignment notes and delivery documentation
- Coordinating inbound and outbound transport with carriers
- Supporting and guiding warehouse team members on daily priorities
- Assisting with task allocation and workflow coordination
- Completing pre‑sale activities such as inspections, testing and minor modifications
- Processing returns and maintaining accurate inventory records
- Maintaining WHS standards, housekeeping and site organisation
- Supporting stocktakes and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
We’re looking for a reliable, proactive Warehouse professional who brings both technical skill and leadership capability.
You’ll ideally have:
- Proven experience operating a grab forklift (essential)
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment with some supervisory or leading‑hand responsibilities
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
- Confidence using computer systems for orders, inventory and documentation
- Experience using ERP or warehouse systems (Pronto highly regarded)
- A hands‑on, can‑do attitude with the ability to prioritise and problem‑solve
- A current Forklift Licence (LF)
- Temp‑to‑perm opportunity with genuine long‑term intent (Temp usually 3- 6 months)
- Supportive leadership and a team‑focused environment
- Oakleigh location with onsite parking
- Standard hours: 7:00am – 3:00pm, Monday to Friday
- Flexibility is required to start earlier or finish later when needed
- Occasional Saturday work
(approximately one Saturday per month)
- Typically a half‑day
- Paid as overtime
