The opportunity
As the Workplace Relations Specialist, you will be reporting directly to the Head of HR and will become trusted expert on employee relations, industrial frameworks and modern people practices, partnering with leaders to guide performance, conduct, change and wellbeing matters with fairness and compliance. You will shape policies, refine processes and build manager capability through coaching, while balancing advisory work, case management and strategic projects to positively influence culture and organisational outcomes.
Selection criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, IR, Law or a related discipline
- Experience in workplace relations, HR advisory or industrial relations
- Strong mediation, negotiation and influencing capability
- Solid understanding of employment legislation, awards and ER/IR frameworks
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- High attention to detail, strong analytical skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Mediation or alternative dispute resolution training highly advantageous
- Experience working in a unionised environment is beneficial
