Meet Big Time Harmony
Breed: greyhound
Barking from: Orewa, Auckland
What's up dog?
She is a retired racing dog who has brought joy to our household. I tore my meniscus straight across and have not been able to run (my main sport). Having a dog to walk, also with a joint injury from her racing days, has brought me joy and sanity. She is nothing amazing to be brutally honest- probably average intelligence, and I couldn't see her letting us know Timmy is down a well. She can barely find a piece of cheese we throw on the floor at her. But she has adapted from her days of racing to be a shining example for others considering a grey hound rescue and with the end of racing imminent there will be thousands of dogs needing homes.
2025 NZ People's Choice Award
We believe no dog should be left behind.
Every dog entered into the competition is automatically in the running for the 2025 People’s Choice Award — and the winner will be decided by you, the public.
This year, we’re giving the aroha back to our communities.
Each year, our campaign is supported by a number of incredible charities across Aotearoa that work tirelessly to improve the lives of dogs and people alike. In 2025, we’re shining a spotlight on these organisations and the vital mahi they do.
As part of the voting process, every voter will have the chance to donate to our amazing mental health or dog-focused charities.
It’s your vote, your voice, and your opportunity to make a difference.
