Meet Dasher

Breed: Border Collie

Barking from: Rotorua, Rotorua

What's up dog?

Dasher may only be six months old, but he's already winning hearts everywhere he goes. Born on Christmas eve, Dasher is named for the fastest of Santa's Reindeer, and he certainly lives up to his name. Whether he's zooming through the park, chasing his soccer ball, or trotting through Bunnings, he brings joy wherever he goes. The moment he sees someone his tail wags in excitement, and he doesn't care if they're a stranger, they're a friend in his eyes. He'll unapologetically weave between their legs to ask for a butt scratch and then flop over dramatically for a belly rub. He's a master of charm and knows exactly how to get the attention he wants. But Dasher's not just cute, he's smart too. He knows a growing list of tricks (including a dramatic "bang!), and is learning to "talk using word buttons, already using them to ask for "ice" or to go "outside". Dash is full of personality, with a cheeky streak and a surprising love for frozen carrots - clearly living up to his reindeer name, and ultimately, he is a good boy.
