Meet Maple

Breed: Fox Terrier X Kepie

Barking from: Mt Eden, Auckland

What's up dog?

Maple has brought smiles and joy to peoples lives while we are in the office. She has joined me in client meetings and internal meetings with other coworkers of mine where she has brought laughter and happiness through cuddles, play and bowling people over! She is such a people dog, she will approach every single person we pass on the way to my desk from my car, to ensure they get pats and love from her. No one misses out! A lot of people have different stories about her where she has approached them on their break and just cuddled up with them on their laps! Or she has played basketball with different coworkers of mine! (We have a basketball hoop) Maple isn't just a dog she's a vital part of both the workplace and home, providing unconditional love, laughter, and support wherever she goes. At her mumma's work, Maple is more than just a furry companion; she's a source of emotional support, especially during the busiest times. With her perfectly timed cuddles and hilarious tug-of-war antics, she brings levity to even the most stressful days. Her spontaneous zoomies through the office are a guaranteed mood booster, spreading smiles and laughter from desk to desk. At home, Maple's nurturing side shines just as brightly. She's a devoted little sister to her 14-year-old brother Rusty, an old soul who benefits greatly from her gentle love. Maple keeps Rusty warm during the chilly winter months, curling up beside him for cozy cuddles. And despite his age, she keeps him on his paws literally encouraging playtime in the backyard and helping him stay fit and sprightly. 2025 NZ People's Choice Award

We believe no dog should be left behind.

Every dog entered into the competition is automatically in the running for the 2025 People’s Choice Award — and the winner will be decided by you, the public.

This year, we’re giving the aroha back to our communities.

Each year, our campaign is supported by a number of incredible charities across Aotearoa that work tirelessly to improve the lives of dogs and people alike. In 2025, we’re shining a spotlight on these organisations and the vital mahi they do.

As part of the voting process, every voter will have the chance to donate to our amazing mental health or dog-focused charities.
