Pawsitively Awesome: How Miso Steals the Show (and Hearts) in Pakuranga Intermediate. Move over, textbooks there's a new star in class, and she's got four legs and a wagging tail! My dog isn't just my best friend; she's the unofficial mascot of our classroom, bringing joy, chaos, and endless entertainment to our class. She flops down next to someone looking nervous, and then parades around class as I teach to get her regular pats. Groups of students take turn to walk her around the school compound during morning tea and even the quietest kid cracks a smile when she drops a toy at their feet, demanding a game of fetch mid-lesson. And the best part this year? She's starring in our school production! Will she remember her cues? Probably not. Will she steal the show? Absolutely. In short, Miso doesn't just attends class she elevates it. Who knew the best teacher's assistant had a wagging tail and a love for snack-time crumbs?
