What's up dog?

Every workplace has that one person who holds the team together. Calm under pressure, effortlessly social, always knows what’s going on. At our clinic, that person is a dog. His name is Moby.

Moby doesn’t clock in or answer phones, but somehow he manages to make everyone’s day better just by being himself. He’s not loud or over-the-top; in fact, he spends most of his time quietly hanging out under his mum’s desk, occasionally emerging to stretch, greet a visitor, or inspect the snack situation. It’s this quiet consistency, his steady, kind presence that has a real impact on the atmosphere around here.
He’s become a grounding part of our daily routine. Whether you’ve had a tough appointment, a stressful meeting, or just a long morning, Moby is always there. A few minutes sitting beside him, giving his ears a scratch, and suddenly things feel a little lighter. You don’t need to say anything, Moby gets it.

His love of toys, people, and other dogs only adds to the charm. He brings connection, softness, and a reminder that sometimes the best way to take care of others is to pause and look after ourselves too.

In short, Moby doesn’t just make our workplace better, he makes it whole.

Moby is the REAL practice manager of SRVS. When he’s not snoozing under his mum’s desk like a seasoned professional, he’s making his rounds down the corridor, checking on staff, inspecting treat levels, and making sure everyone’s doing their job… especially the ones with snacks. Moby loves his toys almost as much as he loves people, and he welcomes every visitor and dog like they’re on his VIP guest list. He’s got a growing fan club of reps who pop in just to see him, bringing gifts and snacks like he’s some kind of furry celebrity (he is). And yes, he recently learned how to “speak”, purely as a strategic move to get more attention when the nap-to-snack ratio isn’t quite right. He’s a vital member of the team and we truly wouldn’t be able to function without his guidance.

2025 NZ People's Choice Award

We believe no dog should be left behind.

Every dog entered into the competition is automatically in the running for the 2025 People’s Choice Award — and the winner will be decided by you, the public.

This year, we’re giving the aroha back to our communities.

Each year, our campaign is supported by a number of incredible charities across Aotearoa that work tirelessly to improve the lives of dogs and people alike. In 2025, we’re shining a spotlight on these organisations and the vital mahi they do.

As part of the voting process, every voter will have the chance to donate to our amazing mental health or dog-focused charities.
