Meet Molly
Breed: Huntaway / Staffy cross
Barking from: Tasman, Nelson
What's up dog?
"When we had to say goodbye to our beloved old dog Sophie - my husband's office and his Ute were suddenly very lonely places ( He runs his own small building company ) We rehomed Molly 2 years ago/ and she instantly took over the Office PA role. Duties include- warming Mike's feet under the desk. Barking at anyone who wants to come into the office. Helping the office stick to designated break times by gently prompting Mike with sad puppy dog eyes and a paw on the knee suggesting it's food time. Helping to secure new contracts by offering her toy Duckie as a gift. Keeping track of important office supplies such as snacks and dental chews ! Boosting office morale with her adoration of the boss ( Mike ) and reminding him that despite the stresses work brings she always has his back. Molly has turned 8 and is bringing that calmer senior vibe to the Office- She is still attuned to the necessity of frequent energy restoring snacks- and will remind the CEO that it's smoko time !! She creates a positive office experience by joyfully offering visitors a hearty Huntaway bark followed by an offering of a soggy squeaky duck- reminding everyone that generosity and sharing are the qualities inherent in positive office culture. Molly promotes a healthy work/ life balance by her unerring instinct for the 5:00 clock off deadline- usually by standing excitedly at the door. Molly sets a good example of always bringing your best self to work- and shows constant enthusiasm and loyalty- her only downfall is the occasional incident of snack stealing when an unwitting visitor leaves food below desk height ! 2025 NZ People's Choice Award
We believe no dog should be left behind.
Every dog entered into the competition is automatically in the running for the 2025 People’s Choice Award — and the winner will be decided by you, the public.
This year, we’re giving the aroha back to our communities.
Each year, our campaign is supported by a number of incredible charities across Aotearoa that work tirelessly to improve the lives of dogs and people alike. In 2025, we’re shining a spotlight on these organisations and the vital mahi they do.
As part of the voting process, every voter will have the chance to donate to our amazing mental health or dog-focused charities.
It’s your vote, your voice, and your opportunity to make a difference.
