Meet Oak

Breed: Bull Terrier

Barking from: Takanini, Auckland

What's up dog?

Oak is my super loyal, protective, goofball of a dog. He is an NZ Champion by competing in confirmation dog shows. When walking, he is very protective of me; he will put himself between me and another dog he senses is up to no good or has a bad vibe. He has never put a foot wrong, he is always up for a cuddle or to sit on my lap, even though he is over 30kgs; when he is in his crate at night time and someone sits on the floor next to him he sits up like a human and that person must pay the dog tax (scratch behind the ear) - you can't help but laugh. He knows it's a great joke by the tail wagging! Even though he is only two, he came into my life as a special birthday present that my husband and Friend (Oak's Breeder) cooked up behind my back. When I found out from my friend placing this dog into my arms and saying, "Happy birthday, he is yours, there wasn't a dry eye around. Oak has helped me heal from a broken heart that was broken when my Bull Terrier Miniature suddenly passed away 4 years ago, and I thought it would never heal. Bull Terriers are a special breed, and although they may look weird, they have the biggest hearts, and Oak's is the biggest!
