Meet Penny
Breed: Boarder Collie
Barking from: Arkles Bay, Auckland
What's up dog?
Picture this compact bundle of black and white fur with the classic Border Collie intelligence blazing in her eyes, but with a personality that's pure attitude. She's the type of dog who probably gives you that look - you know the one - where she tilts her head just so, as if to say "Really? You want me to sit when I was clearly in the middle of something important?" Despite being petite, Penny likely carries herself with the confidence of a dog twice her size. She's probably the one who decides when playtime starts and ends with her siblings, orchestrating activities from her self-appointed position as the mastermind of the household. When her dog brother and sister are content to just lounge around, Penny's probably plotting her next adventure or figuring out how to open that treat jar you thought was dog-proof. That Border Collie intelligence means she's always three steps ahead - she knows your routines better than you do and has probably trained you more than you've trained her. She's the type who'll selectively hear commands, responding immediately when it serves her purposes but suddenly developing "selective deafness" when asked to do something that doesn't align with her agenda. Her sass probably comes through in everything from the way she prances when she's proud of herself to the dramatic sighs she lets out when things don't go according to her plans. Classic only-child energy in a house full of siblings!
