What's up dog?
Supporting the home with a newborn. Sounds easy, but she provides pressure hugs for stress and reminds me to drink water. She plays with the kitten, and ensures everyone gets outside for a walk when the rain stops. She puts her toys away, and retrieves booties the kitten stole. It's not easy giving up the sofa spot to our old sugar faced greyhound, or facing every scary noise without barking. She'll alert when the baby is going to wake up or is currently crying, and she gives everyone the stink eye if the room is too cold. It's a pretty clear signal. These behaviors are untrained, I'm still trying to teach her fetch. Mental health is our wealth, and she's like a pot of gold! She has more spots than brain cells in most occasions.
