What's up dog?
I'd like to introduce you to Coco, my 3 year old French Bulldog. Since she was just eight weeks old, Coco has been my companion in the classroom, where she now spends 2 days each week bringing smiles to my students' faces. As a primary school teacher, I've witnessed firsthand how Coco's gentle nature and loving personality positively impact the children. Her natural ability to connect with people inspired me to expand her role beyond the classroom. Drawing from my background as a volunteer EMT with St John in Central Otago, I knew exactly where Coco's special gifts could make a difference. After completing therapy dog training, Coco now divides her time between home, school, ICU, and Wakari Hospital. I love seeing the smiles and cuddles from staff and patients during our visits. Coco has a unique way of brightening everyone's day. It's been great watching my little French Bulldog grow from a playful puppy into a dedicated therapy dog who brings joy and comfort to so many people in our community.
