Job Title: Farm dog
What's up dog?
Mick, our blue heeler, is more than just a dog he's a loyal part of the family. From working cattle with calm focus to quietly trailing behind the kids as they explore the paddocks, Mick brings a sense of security and companionship to all of us. He's sharp, reliable, and always eager to lend a paw, whether helping shift stock or rounding up stray calves. He quite literally puts his body on the line for his job, heeling and nipping cattle to get them moving. Getting in there when the cows turn on the main work dogs stopping them from getting hurt. Around the house, he keeps a watchful eye on the children, gently following them to make sure they're safe. His presence is steady and reassuring, and his playful nature lifts everyone's spirits. Mick brings our family together through shared routines, adventures, and laughter. He teaches the kids responsibility and kindness, and reminds us all of the power of loyalty and trust. Life on the land wouldn't be the same without him. Mick has a natural way of connecting with the people around him. His calm presence and gentle nature make him a favourite among friends, neighbours, and anyone who visits the house. Whether he's greeting someone at the driveway or quietly sitting nearby during a conversation, Mick brings a sense of warmth and ease. He often senses when someone needs a bit of comfort, offering a nudge or simply staying close. His steady loyalty and quiet confidence leave a lasting impression on everyone who spends time with him
