Associate / SA (2+yrs PAE) - Property & Construction

The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate or Senior Associate to join the firm’s Real Estate & Construction team in Brisbane on a full-time, permanent basis. Working directly with a highly regarded Partner and their team, the successful candidate will:
- Advise on a wide range of property and development transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, development agreements, leasing, and tenure arrangements.
- Work on significant government-led and commercial development projects, including major infrastructure and property finance matters.
- Collaborate closely with construction and planning lawyers to provide clients with integrated, end-to-end legal support.
- Manage matters both independently and in a team setting, with strong support from experienced practitioners.
- Play an active role in mentoring junior lawyers and participating in the firm’s training and development initiatives.
To be successful in this role, candidates should demonstrate:
- A minimum of 2 years’ post-admission experience in property or real estate law, ideally within a mid-to-top-tier firm or a strong boutique.
- Broad experience across property development, leasing, acquisitions, and disposals.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
- A proactive and commercial approach to legal problem-solving, with strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- A collaborative and team-oriented mindset, with the ability to supervise and guide junior lawyers and support staff.
- A genuine interest in client industries and a willingness to develop deep sector knowledge.
