Credit Officer
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and reconcile debtor ledgers and customer accounts, including cash sales
- Oversee credit releases exceeding limits in line with company policy
- Investigate account disputes and maintain an up-to-date dispute register
- Maintain cash flow forecasts related to collections
- Prepare weekly and month-end reports, including ATB and customer statements
- Conduct end-to-end debt collection, including escalation to legal proceedings
- Review and recommend credit limits for existing customers using external credit agencies
- Support new credit applications and submit to external agencies for assessment
- Other ad hoc projects and tasks within the role scope.
To be successful for the role, you must demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated experience in the position accountabilities
- Extensive experience in Credit Management and Accounts Receivable
- Strong attention to detail, organisation, and time management
- Computer literate and strong with systems
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- A positive, team-focused and “can-do attitude.
