About the Company:
people2people is proud to partner with a global retail leader known for its innovation, operational excellence, and commitment to people development. Based in Marsden Park, this organisation is experiencing significant growth and is seeking a skilled Distribution Centre (DC) Team Leader to support and guide a high-performing warehouse team.

About the Role:
This is a people-first leadership role that will see you managing and motivating a warehouse team to consistently achieve and exceed performance targets.
Your primary focus will be on leading a productive, engaged team while maintaining clear visibility of KPIs, coaching performance, and identifying continuous improvement opportunities across all DC operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and support a team of DC staff to foster a high-performance and safety-focused culture
Drive accountability for KPI achievement in areas such as productivity, accuracy, and efficiency
Monitor and analyse team performance data to identify gaps and implement improvement plans
Collaborate with other DC leaders and support teams (Controlling, Import/Export) to ensure smooth operations
Maintain compliance with best-practice warehouse standards and ensure optimal inventory handling
Deliver daily operational reporting and contribute to strategic planning initiatives
Oversee inbound operations including receiving, putaway, and stock replenishment
Encourage staff development through coaching, feedback, and recognition

About You:
To succeed in this role, you'll bring a proven track record of team leadership in a fast-paced distribution centre, combined with a strong ability to measure, interpret, and act on KPI performance data.

You’ll also have:

3–5 years of experience leading teams in a warehouse or DC environment
Strong background in people development and performance coaching
A hands-on, collaborative approach to managing daily operations
Expertise in DC processes including inbound, picking, packing, and dispatch
Deep understanding of logistics workflows and warehouse systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a cohesive team environment
Results-driven with a mindset for continuous improvement and operational efficiency
