Operations Manager
Are you an experienced professional ready to lead from the front? We’re seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day transport operations, optimise performance, and ensure smooth, compliant, and efficient delivery services.
About the Role:
As the Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in managing fleet operations, dispatch, return to work, sub-contractor compliance and safety, and team leadership. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional service, meeting KPIs, and driving continuous improvement in a busy and time-sensitive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate daily transport operations
- Manage a team of sub-contractors
- Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management, and all relevant regulations
- Monitor fleet utilisation, delivery schedules, and routing for maximum efficiency
- Develop and implement operational strategies to reduce costs and improve service
- Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to meet service expectations
- Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Proven experience in an operations role within transport, logistics, or supply chain
- Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of transport regulations, and WHS practices
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Proficiency with transport management systems (TMS)
