Senior Associate / Special Counsel (5+ PAE) - General Insurance

The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Associate to join the firm’s busy Sydney Insurance team, working directly with senior principals on a variety of complex and interesting matters. The work spans public liability and general insurance litigation, including property damage, personal injury, historical abuse, and complex indemnity disputes. The role offers autonomy, access to national clients, and the opportunity to mentor junior lawyers while contributing to the continued growth of the team.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 5 years' PAE with a strong background in defendant-side insurance litigation (public liability preferred).
- Excellent legal and analytical skills, with a proven ability to manage files with minimal supervision.
- Strong client management capabilities and the confidence to engage directly with insurers and corporate clients.
- A team-focused mindset, mentoring capability, and a positive, solutions-driven approach.
- A commitment to professional excellence and continuous development.
