Senior HR Business Partner

people2people are currently hiring a full-time permanent and 12-month fixed term Senior HR Business Partner for a State Government Agency, offering an immediate start for the right candidate. This role is based in Melbourne CBD, 3000, however will require travel across various sites in Melbourne's Northern suburbs as required.

The Senior HR Business Partner will work closely with the executive and leadership teams to drive organisational effectiveness, performance, and accountability. You will provide strategic HR advice, develop integrated P&C solutions, and manage complex people-related issues in a dynamic, high-impact environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Partner with senior leaders to improve organisational effectiveness and foster a culture of accountability
Develop and deliver HR strategies that align with business objectives
Provide expert HR advice on complex people issues and drive the resolution of employee relations matters
Lead change management initiatives and contribute to key strategic projects
Coach and support senior leaders on conflict resolution, grievance management, and people development
Collaborate with key stakeholders, including unions, to communicate HR outcomes and strategies

Key Requirements:

Extensive experience as a Senior HR Business Partner or in a similar leadership role
Strong ER experience, with the ability to negotiate and influence with unions
Experience working within State Government is highly regarded
Strong project management, communication, and leadership skills
Must have or be willing to obtain a National Police Check
Under requirements for the Pandemic COVID-19, it is a requirement to be triple vaccinated
