Senior Payroll Officer

A community based Not-For-Profit require the assistance of a highly experienced Payroll Officer to join their Finance team. You will love the organisational values and feel supported in your role. In this stand-alone role you will have the ability to make it your own and add value through your experience and improvements. If you are community minded and are seeking a new opportunity, this could be the perfect role for you!

The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the end to end payroll function,

Processing fortnightly payroll for approx. 500 employees
Multiple Award and EA interpretation
Preparation and calculations of superannuation and payroll tax
Processing new starters and terminations and long service payments
Processing leave and entitlements
Payroll reconciliations and reporting
Dealing with payroll queries in a timely manner and providing excellent customer service

About You
The successful applicant will have/be,

Highly experienced in end to end payroll
Strong understanding of payroll legislation
Ability to interpret and apply multiple Awards and EA's
Experience in a stand-alone positions
Well developed communication and customer service skills
Ability to meet deadlines and work autonomously
A positive and professional team player
