Senior Tax Accountant
About the Role
As the Senior Tax Accountant, you’ll be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of tax compliance across the Group. Liaising with external advisers and working closely with internal finance stakeholders, you’ll ensure robust governance frameworks are maintained and legislative requirements are met.
This is a broad and hands-on role that suits a proactive tax professional who thrives on technical work, collaborative problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of tax compliance, including preparation and submission of Income Tax, GST, FBT, Payroll Tax and Land Tax returns.
- Prepare tax effect accounting and liaise with external auditors & tax advisors.
- Monitor and interpret changes in tax legislation and preparing position papers.
- Ensure tax data integrity through accurate systems and internal controls.
- Provide ad-hoc support across broader finance and compliance functions when required.
- In-depth and current knowledge of Australian tax legislation from tenure in a commercial business environment.
- CPA/CA qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex issues
- Proficiency with accounting systems.
