What's up dog?
At Rockgas Christchurch, we are the largest branch in the country. We are also a Major Hazard Facility Site that requires any person be it a Contractor, New Staff or Visiting to be fully inducted before being allowed to step outside as we are an Operational Site.
One of Bazil's roles was to welcome everyone into the office where they would sign in or be inducted.
As a health & safety rep, Bazil is involved in any prestart toolbox meetings where contractors before starting any work on site would go through any hazards & requirements for the work being carried out.
At Rockgas we take Health & Well-Being very seriously & Bazil excelled in this role. When staff needed someone to talk to, a cuddle, a shoulder to cry on he was always first to comfort anybody in need. If he thought you needed support he was great at recommending any services provided by the company as well as accompanying you to
He was great at making you laugh when you needed it & also great at telling you to take a break. He was the hardest-working staff member at Rockgas having been there over 12 years.
Acting & Modelling came naturally to him especially if treats were involved. He was the star of many on-site filming with the last being the updated induction video where he played a key role as truck supervisor, modelling for the updated company SharePoint.
Bazil had many roles and always excelled at all of them, he was also a part of anything that needed doing and always supported the 25 or so Operational Staff and 20 Office Staff.Bazil is widely known in the company up & down the country.
