Meet Tui
Breed: Poodle X Schnauzer
Barking from: Morrinsville
What's up dog?
I run a private counselling practice from my home office on the outskirts of Morrinsville. Tui loves to say hi tothe clients as they arrive and after her welcome she will lie quietly under my office desk until the session ends when she comes back out to say her goodbyes. On more than one occasion if a client is visibly upset Tui will come and lay her head on their lap. Clients have also been know toask if they can pat Tui during a session.I have found having Tuiin the office can also be a great icebreaker for children and new clients. Clients often ask where Tui is when arriving for a session. Clients have also been known to jokingly say they come to see Tui not me :-). Tui is not yet 3 and is proving to be a wonderful companion and a genuine support for many of the clients I work with. The picture I have attached of Tui and me is the photo I use with the monthly 'Just a Thought' articles I have been submitting in our local news paper The Morrinsville News for a number of years. Not being very good with technology ( and my wife Ginni being out) it was the easiest one for me to find and attach for the competition.

Each year, our campaign is supported by a number of incredible charities across Aotearoa that work tirelessly to improve the lives of dogs and people alike. In 2025, we’re shining a spotlight on these organisations and the vital mahi they do.
