Meet Holly
Breed: Auckland
Barking from: Court Support Dog
Job Title: Golden Retriever
What's up dog?
When Holly puts her backpack on, everyone knows she's off to do her job as a Court Support Dog. She's got some special things in her pack which help those she is supporting - her business cards, a mini slinky, a bubble popper fidget toy, another fidget toy which twists into many shapes, a stress ball, her cellphone which has a fishing game on it and everybody's favourite, a pink spotted hair brush (a girl has to look good when she's off to court!). Fidget toys help to keep hands busy, her leash allows some control to those who hold it, and being brushed allows people to reciprocate the calmness and confidence she has. And the business cards, they are taken home by those she has supported as a reminder of a positive part of their day.
