HR Business Partner

• 18 month fixed term contract
• $125-$135k + super
• Melbourne CBD, offering 2 days in office and 3 days WFH

 
people2people are currently recruiting a HR Business Partner to join a State Government Agency on a full time, fixed term contract until October 2026. This role is based in Melbourne CBD and offers hybrid work arrangements - 2 days in office, 3 days working from home.
 
Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Manager, People & Performance, you will be responsible for:

• Operate as a strategic partner to people leaders in the business to facilitate workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, wellbeing and change.
• Implement policies and procedures on relevant legislation and HR practices
• Contribute to project planning and reporting
• Coach managers on Employee Relations issues
• Complete remuneration analysis and provide advice on position descriptions and salaries
• Ensure the optimisation of workforce performance is a key consideration in strategic and operational decision making

 
About you: 
 
To be successful in this role you will have previous experience working as a Human Resources Business Partner. You will also have:
 

• Expertise in a range of HR functions including; investigations, change management, workforce planning, employee relations and well being
• Strong experience delivering people & culture initiatives
• Knowledge of government legislation and HR regulatory frameworks
• Experience using SuccessFactors - not essential
• High attention to detail with demonstrated  initiative and problem solving skills
