Retail Execution & Compliance Manager
Our client Samsung Electronics is on the lookout for a Retail Execution & Compliance Manager to join their team at the Sydney Olympic Park Office! This role requires the candidate to work in the office 4 days a week with 1 day work from home.
This role’s responsibility is to help drive and deliver the relevant in store experience across all channels that drives customer engagement, evaluation and conversion (sell out). As a custodian for retail execution and compliance, they will work closely with the relevant stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure that set GTM plans and projects are delivered on time and within budget so that our business objectives are achieved. This role will also be the go to person for retail fixture and display compliance, ensuring our products are ‘always on’ to support customer interaction and that our brand is always represented at its best in retail.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Go To Market Execution
- Responsible for working closely with the GTM team to ensure deliverables required for E&C are on time and fully executed to ensure the best experience for our customers (work back schedules)
- Responsible for using the information created by the GTM team for communication packs and distribution matrixes, liaise with the channels and respective warehouses on ensuring the right distribution to channel warehouses, states warehouses, DTS and to execution members (physical distribution management of elements)
- Responsible for working with the GTM team to ensure an agency/internal E&C team are briefed on the expectations, timings, details and measures of success for launch
- Through an agency/internal E&C team execute all the elements for launch which will include; VM, digital, security, display devices, HQ kits, fixtures and accessories
Training & Communications
- Responsible for working closely with the GTM team and Visual Design team in ensuring the right training and guidelines are adhered to around merchandising, security, display devices, accessories and fixtures is provided to an agency/internal E&C team
- Regular training modules need to be developed and refresher sessions need to be run each year (ideally quarterly sessions to ensure the field and SCIM team are up to speed with the latest from security to fixtures)
- Attend and present at all Field and SCIM related workshops and conferences on matters relating to execution and compliance plans, training and results, requesting and consolidating feedback to improve future projects.
- Ensure the communications to state manager and individual field/tech team are aligned to meet objectives relating to in-store experience and roll outs.
Always on Compliance
- Responsible for the management and use of an agency/internal E&C team to resolve issues in retail on our assets that include but not limited to; VM, security, display devices, fixtures and accessories
- Collaborate with the Field State Managers to ensure there are SLA’s in place for issues management and that issues are being reported and captured in a timely manner
- Create/project manage a relevant issues management process and platform for internal and external stakeholders to raise cases
- Provide regular reporting updates on retail experience progress to internal and external partners
- Manage spare parts, including the associated budget, in the warehouse and order items as required through vendors
- Manage an agency (shopfitter/issues Management Company) for Level 3 issues like, but not limited to electrical faults, fixture damage etc.
- Create internal processes and SLA’s to support missing devices on display.
Reporting & Store/Fixture Information
- Responsible for the reporting for E&C and that there are regular reports during launches to capture all of retail stores called on by our field team to validate our compliance on executions, but also compliance on executions carried out by store teams (all stores meaning Samsung fixture stores + non-Samsung fixture stores)
- Provide a wrap up report for each launch and participate in a PIR for all Platinum/Gold launches
- Accountable for owning and maintaining the master store and fixture list, providing visibility for where our retail fixtures and assets are located and positioned in retail.
- Working closely with multiple stakeholders to update the MFSL with any changes to individual store details, including the opening/closure of stores, amendments to individual location attributes
- Own the visibility of competitor fixtures, supporting Samsung fixture strategies and expansion planning
About YOU:
- Degree in Marketing or a Business discipline
- Minimum +8 years professional experience on field marketing/merchandising with a proven track record in project management and retail planning/executions
- In depth understanding of retail and the ever changing landscape across the CDJ and how the experience impacts the sales conversion
- Experience with working across and managing multiple internal and stakeholders with exposure to project management and problem solving
- Solid consumer knowledge & intimacy of the Australian retail market
- Strong analytical skills – i.e. ability to interpret data, generate insights and make recommendations
- Ability to synthesize and present complex findings under tight deadlines
- Ability to analyse, report and deliver compelling strategic presentations with well thought out conclusive, actionable insights (strong Excel skills essential)
- Excellent communicator - championing insight and strategy in a multi-stakeholder environment
