Scheduler - truck and transport
We are currently seeking an experienced Transport Scheduler to support one of Victoria’s largest and most high-profile road infrastructure projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a long-term, high-volume operation with a strong pipeline of work ahead.
In this role, you'll be joining a collaborative and driven team, responsible for coordinating the daily movement of heavy vehicles, ensuring materials are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time across multiple active sites.
- Day Shift - Monday to Friday
- $47 - $52 PH + SUPER
- Temporary 8 week assignment with high possibility of extention
- Immediately start!
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain daily transport schedules for a large fleet of subcontracted trucks
- Liaise with suppliers, drivers, site supervisors, and project teams to coordinate deliveries
- Respond to real-time scheduling changes and proactively resolve conflicts or delays
- Monitor driver compliance with fatigue management, chain of responsibility, and safety protocols
- Use internal systems to track delivery performance and maintain accurate scheduling data
- Provide regular reporting and updates to key stakeholders and supervisors
- Proven experience in truck/transport scheduling, preferably within civil, construction, or infrastructure environments
- Strong knowledge of compliance regulations
- Advanced Excel skills are required (VLOOKUP ESSENTIAL)
- Ability to manage complex logistics with multiple moving parts under time pressure
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Sound computer literacy and ability to learn internal scheduling systems quickly
- Monday to Friday – Day Shift hours (construction hours)
