Senior Financial Accountant

Join a dynamic and high performing team at this Financial Services business, based in Brisbane CBD for a six month assignment as a Senior Financial Accountant. Bring your well developed technical skills, focus on continuous improvement and business partnering skills to excel in this role. You will love working in this inclusive and supportive team culture.

The Role
Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, the responsibilities of the role will include,

Ensure compliance with statutory accounting obligations and IFRS
Preparation of financial statements, for multiple entities
Preparation of monthly and quarterly general ledger account reconciliations
Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
Accounting for fixed assets, impairment and building valuation
Assisting and preparation for Auditors
Proactive involvement in continuous improvement and streamlining
Business partnering and stakeholder engagement across departments

About You
The successful applicant, will have/be,

CA or CPA qualified with similar experience in a large/complex organisation
Financial Services or Insurance Industry experience well regarded
Strong understanding of accounting legislation and audit standard (Big 4 background well regarded)
Focused on efficiency's and continuous improvement, Strong ERP systems experience
Well developed communication and stakeholder management
A professional and positive team player
