Senior Procurement Specialist – Policy

• $800 – 825 per day plus super
• Sydney CBD (Hybrid)
• 6 month contract

A unique opportunity has come up within a NSW Government agency that is currently undergoing change. With shifting operational demands and a growing need for clarity around procurement, this contract role offers the chance to refresh and simplify how procurement is understood and executed across the business.

You’ll take the lead on revising existing procurement policy, tools, and templates making them practical and easy for internal stakeholders to use. Working closely with engaged internal contacts, you’ll bring structure to procurement practices, guide consistent application of frameworks, and support business users in navigating processes they may not deal with regularly.

Your key focus areas will be:

• Reworking and modernising procurement and contract management frameworks
• Creating simple, accessible documentation, flowcharts and process guides and you will
• Offer insights to improve consistency, compliance, and usability to their current process.

To successfully secure this role, you’ll ideally have experience working within NSW Government and a strong understanding of its procurement frameworks. You’re confident drafting policy, frameworks, and procurement resources, and bring exceptional writing skills to the table.
